Do You Have What It Takes?

way to successIt seems like most people get stuck before they ever get going.

I get asked a lot of questions about how to move forward.

People ask, “Where do I start?” “What do I need to do first?” “How do I get moving?”

My response is simple; “slow down and start by asking yourself these three basic questions.”

1 – What Do I Desire?

Many times people have an idea of what they would like to do, but more often than not they don’t want it enough to do all the hard work it will take to get there.

Desiring to do something is much stronger than “would like to do something.” You will quit on what you would like to do; many times you will quit on what you want to do; but it will take an awful lot to make you quit on something you Desire to do!

2 – Do I Believe I Can Do This?

Fear is the number one reason for failure. Some people will argue and say fear can be used as a great motivator, but I disagree.

Fear is a negative; try as hard as you like to change it, it will always be a negative!

Faith overcomes fear. Having a strong belief in yourself, in your purpose, and in others around you will help you keep going even when things get difficult.

3 – What Am I Willing To Do To Make It Happen?

This is the big one. The initial response is always, “Whatever it takes.”

I hear that just about every single time I ask someone what they are willing to do. It seems to be the standard knee jerk response.

While it’s easy to say, it’s more difficult to actually do it. No more canned answers. Ask yourself what you’re willing to do and allow yourself to answer honestly.

Knowing what you desire, believing you are the right person for the job, and being willing to do whatever is necessary to pull it off is the only way to reach your goals.

Over the next few weeks, I plan on breaking each of these questions down on a deeper level in blog posts, so that you can truly know what you desire, know what you believe, and know what you are willing to do and LIVE LIFE!
